Qodart is local-first. Here is, in plain language, what stays on your machine, what goes to the AI provider you choose, and what this website does.

01Overview

Qodart is a desktop app for building Flutter apps visually, with an AI agent of your choice. It is built local-first: your projects, code, keys and sign-ins live on your machine. This policy explains what Qodart and this website do, and do not do, with information.

In this policy, “Qodart”, “we”, “us” means Artims Infotech, the maker of Qodart. “You” means the person using the app or this website.

02What stays on your device

These things are created and stored on your computer by the Qodart app:

  • Your projects. Every project is a standard Flutter project in a folder you choose. Qodart reads and writes files there, and nowhere else.
  • API keys and sign-ins. Provider keys and subscription sign-ins (such as ChatGPT, GitHub Models, Cline, Kiro or Qoder) are stored locally and are sent only to the provider you chose.
  • Conversations, memory and rules. Agent chat history, project rules, memory and settings are kept on your machine.
  • Voice dictation. The speech model ships inside the app and runs on-device. Audio is not uploaded for dictation.

03AI providers and your data

When you ask the agent to do something, the text you send (your prompt, and any code, files, logs or widget context you attach or let the agent read) goes to the model provider you selected, using your own key, your own subscription sign-in, or a custom endpoint you configured. That request is made between your computer and that provider.

  • Each provider handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy. Review them before sending sensitive code.
  • If you connect Ollama or LM Studio, prompts stay on your own hardware.
  • If you run a local CLI agent (for example Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI) from inside Qodart, that tool communicates with its own service under its own terms.

You control what the agent can do through four permission levels (plan, ask before changes, edit automatically, full access) and per-tool rules.

04Other services you connect

Some features connect to services you choose to use:

  • GitHub. Cloning, committing and publishing use your GitHub account or accounts. Qodart does not need access to repositories you do not open.
  • MCP servers and skills. If you add an MCP server, it can receive the data your agent passes to it. Install only servers you trust.
  • Package registries and Flutter tooling. Running Flutter, Dart or pub commands contacts the usual public registries, the same as running them in a terminal.

05This website

The Qodart website is a static site. It does not use advertising trackers.

  • Local storage. Your light or dark theme choice is remembered for the current browser tab only, using session storage.
  • Fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google’s servers and Google can see that request’s IP address.
  • Hosting logs. Like any web host, the provider serving this site may keep standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and operations.

06Security

New folders open in restricted mode until you trust them, so nothing runs before you decide. Keys and sign-ins stay on your device. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so please protect your computer, keep your keys private and rotate any key you think has been exposed.

07Retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. Delete a project folder to remove its code, remove a provider in settings to remove its key or sign-in, and uninstall the app to remove its local data. Data already sent to an AI provider or to GitHub is governed by that service, so use its own tools to delete it.

08Children

Qodart is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

09Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses. Since the app keeps your data locally, much of this is already in your hands. For anything we hold, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Qodart evolves. Qodart is free today; if we ever add paid plans, this policy will be updated to explain what billing information is handled and by whom. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above, and for material changes we will make a clear notice on this site or in the app.
